LAKE CONROE LIGHTHOUSE
Also known as Harbour Town Lighthouse
Location: Lake Conroe, Town of Willis, Montgomery County, Texas.
From Houston, take I-45 north, turn left on highway 830 going west, turn left on Kingston Cove Lane (pass by the fake looking lighthouse guard shack), follow to Seven Coves Resort.
Viewing: This lighthouse is on private property so there is no public access, but the light is visible from most of the lake. A good place to see the lighthouse is from the parking lot at The Landing at Seven Coves Resort.
History: Built as a private aid to navigation in 1977. The Lake Conroe lighthouse was damaged by a tornado and rebuilt in 1999.
Construction Type & Design: Octagonal tower with alternating red and white horizontal bands, copper top, steel frame with stucco sides.
